Twinings

Twinings began in 1706 when Thomas Twining began to sell it in his coffee house on London&rsquo\;s Strand, with the promise to only sell the very best quality and variety. By 1750 tea was the drink of choice for the masses and Twining opened the very first tea shop in London, The Golden Lyon. More than 300 years later tea is still sold from the shop and, though times have changed, the passion for quality is still there. Over 3000 cups of tea are tasted ever week by expert blenders to ensure the innovation and creativity never falters.
