A carving knife is the perfect tool for slicing meat very thinly. Compared to a Chef's knife, it is longer and much thinner which allows it to cut meat much more finely and precisely. A carving knife is normally between 20 centimetres and 38 centimetres long which allows it to cut larger pieces of meat when required.
Carving Forks
Carving forks hold meat in place whilst it is being carved. The use of a carving fork means that you can protect your hand and also avoid contamination of the meat. They generally have two long prongs which are able to get far enough in the meat to keep it in place.
