The 310x160mm Scaritech virgin wool round banneton is a premium quality bread proofing basket designed to help bakers achieve perfectly risen and beautifully shaped loaves.
The wool used in this banneton is virgin wool from Australia, extremely pure and white and very fine. Thanks to the non-stick, antibacterial treatment applied to the 100% virgin wool and their biodegradable Polypropylene frame, the bannetons offers real innovation, so you can enjoy significant time savings (instant demoulding) and money (no flour to add).
The treatment applied is water-repellent. As a result, the dough does not stick and there is no need to use flour, even for very hydrated dough. It is also antibacterial, which, together with proper maintenance, prevents the appearance of mould.
