Choose Your Material
We offer a multitude of materials that your menu folder can be made out of to create a unique, luxurious and hard wearing product that will stand out from other restaurants and venues. Buckram Cloth, Leather, Faux Leather, Wood, Cork, PVC and many more are available in a wide range of colours.
When choosing a material consider factors such as;
- the style of your venue and colour scheme (are you looking for a bright modern colour, or a traditional leather menu covers;
- how busy your venue is (some materials are more hard-wearing than others);
- how many pages of menu you want to display (some materials are thicker than others and lend themselves to fewer page menus);
- your budget (different materials have different raw material costs and are more labour intensive to make, meaning that the prices do vary).
Our team are available to talk you though any of these points and suggest the best material suited to your requirements, budget, and most importantly your brand.
Choose Your Colour
Each material range has its own colour options available. Colour swatches are available to view as a PDF on most product pages to show the extensive range that is available for each product.
Menu covers can now be printed full colour, so even if you can’t find the exact colour or finish that you require, we can offer unlimited possibilities for the finish that you are looking for. You have the opportunity to use our experienced graphic design studio, to create stunning artwork that is aligned with your restaurant or venue.

Choose Your Fixing
You will need to decide how you want to display your menu within your menu holder. It may be that you already have a preference on the look of a certain fixing, or you may want to consider how frequently you change your menu (some methods are quicker to change than others, cord fixings are great for specials menus), what sort of printer you have (this will determine the paper size/thickness you want to use), how much your menus are used (clear pockets are a more long term option if you want your menus to last longer).
You can view the range of fixing methods that we offer here, including videos showing how they work: https://www.smartuk.net/fixing-options
Choose Your Size of Menu Holders
Our products can be designed and manufactured in an extensive range of standard paper sizes and shapes. Most of our standard sizes are created to accommodate standard 'A' paper sizes, along with US letter sizes. Bill presenters, wine list covers, and all other matching restaurant accessories are designed and manufactured in an extensive range of industry standard sizes.
Our standard sizes are A4, 2/3 A4, 1/2 A4, A5 and 21cm x 21cm. Generally, the most popular are A4, 1/2 A4 and A5 due to their practicality. A5 and 1/2 A4 make for great drinks menus and dessert menus with A4 being commonly used for main menus.
We make the menu holders slightly larger than the paper sizes so that your menu inserts fit nicely into the covers, with a small board of the cover material.
Should you require a special size our team can work with you to accommodate almost any request.
Choose Your Personalisation and Branding
Most of our clients wish to have their venue/brand name or logo on their menu holders. All of our products can be personalised via a range of methods, depending upon the material chosen.
Personalisation methods include; Hot Foil, Debossing, Printing, Engraving and Metal/Wooden Plates.
Each product page details which personalisation options are available for the material type. You can view videos and images explaining each artwork method here: https://www.smartuk.net/artwork-options
Common Menu Cover FAQs
How do I put my logo on restaurant menu covers?
All of our products can be personalised with your company logo and branding. If you have a high resolution version of your logo or pattern that you would like on your menu covers, preferably a vector in a .PDF, .AI, .SVG or .EPS file format (the person who designed your logo will be able to supply you with this if you don't already have one), we can put this on your menu cover.
If you do have trouble finding a high resolution file then we offer a graphic design service to our customers, allowing you to recreate your files in the correct format. You are provided with different versions of the completed files to allow you to use for any other branding projects you may be planning in the future.
Once you have your high resolution file and have decided what material you would like, you can consider how you would like this to be put on the menu covers.
What is Labyrinth?
Labyrinth is a design concept designed by Smart Hospitality Supplies incorporating an intricate pattern over the whole menu and surrounding text or a logo. Combining this with a mixture of hot foil and debossing techniques has a wonderful effect and makes your logo stand out. Create your own labyrinth pattern or use our additional design services to create a unique pattern perfect for your venue.
Why not incorporate the pattern from your wallpaper or curtains on to your menu holders?
How long does it take to receive my order?
Once your order has been confirmed, and your artwork signed off, it usually takes 10-15 working days for us to produce your order. As with all manufacturing, some materials/options can be made quicker than this, and some materials, and specifications can take longer, however you will be advised at the time of your order how long they will take.
Should you need your order by a specific date, such as an opening night, then please let our team know; we always do our best to accommodate our customers' requests.
