The Falcon Chieftain G1478 is a natural-gas stockpot stove for commercial kitchens that heat large, heavy pans. Its 1 hob has 1 double-ring burner and a durable vitreous-enamelled cast-iron surface, providing concentrated heat for stock, soup and other high-volume boiling duties.

The double-ring burner is controlled from the front by 1 combined gas control. It has a pilot and flame-failure thermocouple, and ignition is carried out with a lit taper. Once the pilot is established, the control provides full-flame and low-flame positions.

The hob accommodates a stockpot weighing up to 40kg. This is the supported pan load rather than the appliance's own weight, so operators should keep the complete filled pan within that limit.

It has adjustable sprung top plates, heat-resistant handles and adjustable feet for easier positioning. The steel framework is designed for straightforward cleaning, while the cast-iron hob provides a strong working surface for demanding stockpot use.

The silver unit measures 480 mm high, 610 mm wide and 610 mm deep, with a product weight of 40kg. It is a single-hob design without an undershelf.

It is a natural-gas appliance with a 1/2-inch BSP gas connection. Installation, conversion and servicing must be undertaken by a competent gas professional, and the appliance must remain earthed where its electrical safety arrangements require it.

Wipe the unit after use, preferably while it is still warm, and clean the pan support and burners with a soft brush. Rinse with clean water and dry. Use only a soap or detergent solution; highly caustic cleaners can damage or discolour the surfaces.

Use full flame for the fastest heat-up, then reduce the burner towards low flame for simmering. The most efficient position is approximately halfway between high and low, although the best setting depends on the pan and its contents.

This Falcon stockpot hob has ordering reference G1478 and includes a 2-year parts-and-labour commercial-only warranty. The pack quantity is 1 unit.
