Frequently Asked Questions
Lincat Seal Heated Food Display SCH1085 FAQs
Which catering operations would benefit from the Lincat Seal heated display?
The Lincat Seal heated display is designed for front-of-house hot-food merchandising in schools, canteens and similar counter-service settings. Its curved silver showcase presents croissants, pastries, scones, savouries, jacket potatoes and other hot dishes where visibility and an attractive service display matter.
What food capacity does the Lincat Seal heated display provide?
This 2-tier, back-service showcase has a 220Ltr gross cabinet volume. Its lower tier accommodates 3 supplied full-size 1/1 GN containers, each 65 mm deep, providing up to 27Ltr of serving capacity, while the fixed upper shelf provides additional display space.
How does the Lincat Seal heated display control hot-holding temperatures?
Precise electronic thermostatic control and a digital cabinet-temperature display support consistent hot holding. The food-holding minimum is 72°C, the cabinet can reach 95°C, and the controller adjusts from 75°C to 95°C with an 85°C factory setting. The display measures cabinet air rather than the food itself.
How does the humidity feature work in the Lincat Seal showcase?
An integral water bath can add humidity when the showcase is lightly loaded, helping suitable products such as pastries retain moisture. For best results it should be filled with warm water, checked occasionally and not combined with overloading, which can encourage condensation on the glass.
How are products illuminated in the Lincat Seal heated display?
Daylight-balanced illumination enhances the appearance of displayed food and can be switched independently from the heating system. This lets operators present products clearly at the counter while retaining separate control over the showcase light.
What are the dimensions and installation requirements of the Lincat Seal SCH1085 heated display?
The SCH1085 measures 665 mm high, 1085 mm wide and 750 mm deep. It is a countertop, back-service model with sliding rear doors, removable side glass, toughened glazing and a fixed shelf position. Place it on a sound, level, heat-resistant work surface, allow rear staff access and keep the front and rear vents unobstructed for warm-air circulation.
How should the Lincat Seal heated showcase be cleaned?
Its strong stainless steel and glass construction is easy to maintain and clean. Disconnect the showcase and let it cool before using mild detergent, hot water and a soft cloth; do not use abrasive creams, scourers or water jets. The rear doors, shelf, containers and side panels are removable, while the shelf and integral water bath can be dishwasher cleaned.
What electrical supply does the Lincat Seal SCH1085 heated display use?
The SCH1085 is an electric, fan-assisted showcase operating from a 230V, 50Hz single-phase supply. Its exact-model power rating is 2047 W, commonly rounded to 2.05 kW, and it is supplied with a 13A plug that must remain accessible after installation.
What warranty comes with the Lincat Seal heated food display?
The Lincat Seal heated food display includes a 2-year parts and labour warranty, providing commercial operators with cover for both replacement components and associated labour during the warranty period.
Is there a returns charge for the Lincat Seal heated display?
A restocking fee of up to 25% can apply if this showcase is returned because of its high carriage and handling costs. Buyers should therefore confirm the 1085 mm width, electrical requirements, service access and required capacity before ordering.
How can I identify the Lincat Seal SCH1085 heated display?
This product is the Lincat Seal SCH1085 heated food display, with supplier reference SCH1085. It is the wider 1085 mm model in the Seal countertop showcase range and has 3 full-size GN containers rather than the smaller model's 2.
