Frequently Asked Questions
Falcon FE3D countertop convection oven FAQs
What is the Falcon FE3D countertop convection oven?
The Falcon FE3D is a programmable electric convection oven for professional kitchens. Its compact countertop format suits cafes, pubs, restaurants, bakeries and deli counters, either as a smaller kitchen's principal oven or as additional capacity alongside existing equipment.
The silver oven has a stainless steel main construction and combines three-shelf 2/3 GN capacity with digital programmes, steam injection and bi-directional convection airflow.
How many shelves and what GN size does the Falcon FE3D hold?
The oven is supplied with three 2/3 GN shelves, with 80mm between the shelf positions. This provides practical multi-level cooking capacity while keeping the appliance within a 610mm-wide countertop footprint.
Use compatible 2/3 GN trays and leave enough space around each load for heated air to circulate. Overcrowding the shelves can restrict airflow and reduce consistency between trays.
How do the Falcon FE3D programmable controls improve consistency?
The digital controls provide a 120-minute timer, an audible completion alarm and storage for up to ten cooking programmes. Frequently used settings can therefore be recalled quickly, helping different members of staff reproduce established cooking cycles across shifts.
The alarm alerts the operator when the programmed time has finished, reducing the chance of food being left in the oven unnoticed, while manual operation retains flexibility for changing recipes and batch sizes.
How do the bi-directional fan and steam injection work on the FE3D?
The bi-directional fan changes airflow direction to distribute heat more evenly throughout the oven chamber. This supports consistent cooking across the three shelf levels and helps reduce localised hot spots.
Steam injection adds moisture when a cooking programme requires it, giving the kitchen more flexibility for suitable baking and regeneration tasks. Correct tray spacing and sensible loading remain important so both heat and moisture can move around the food.
Can staff monitor food without opening the Falcon FE3D door?
Yes. The glass-panelled, double-glazed door and internal LED light allow staff to check cooking progress without opening the chamber and releasing heat. This is particularly useful when monitoring several trays or delicate products.
The audible timer alarm provides a second prompt when the cycle is complete, so staff do not have to rely on repeatedly opening the door to judge progress.
How easy is the Falcon FE3D convection oven to clean?
The stainless steel construction provides a durable, professional surface for routine kitchen cleaning. The internal pane of the double-glazed door is removable, giving better access to grease, splashes and baked-on residue between services.
Allow the appliance to cool, isolate it from the electrical supply and follow the cleaning instructions. Regular cleaning of the chamber, shelves, glass and door seal helps preserve visibility and dependable door closure.
What are the dimensions and net weight of the Falcon FE3D?
The Falcon FE3D measures 610(H) x 610(W) x 685(D)mm and has a listed net product weight of 56kg. Plan the delivery route and use an appropriate handling method rather than attempting to lift the oven as a light countertop appliance.
The unit stands on feet and should be positioned level on a stable, fire-resistant surface. Allow the ventilation and working clearances specified in the installation instructions as well as room for the door and power cable.
What electrical supply does the Falcon FE3D CH337 require?
The FE3D is rated at 2650W (2.65kW) for a 230V electric supply. It is supplied with a 13A plug and 1.8m cable, making connection straightforward where a suitable dedicated socket and safe installation position are available.
Do not rely on an extension lead. Check the socket location, circuit suitability, ventilation and cable route before delivery, particularly when the oven will be mounted on a stand or stacked with another compatible unit.
Can the Falcon FE3D be installed on a stand or stacked?
Fixed and mobile stands are available separately, allowing the oven height and kitchen layout to be planned around the operation. Compatible units can also be stacked to increase capacity without doubling the floor footprint.
Any stand or stacking arrangement must be compatible with the FE3D, support its 56kg net weight and be installed in accordance with the relevant instructions. The oven itself is listed with feet for stable countertop positioning.
How can I confirm I am ordering the correct Falcon FE3D oven?
This product is Smart Hospitality Supplies SKU CH337, with Falcon reference FE3D and barcode 5056466907389. Confirm these identifiers when matching a quotation, replacement appliance or compatible stand.
The product data lists a two-year warranty, subject to the applicable terms, correct commercial installation, intended operation, cleaning and maintenance. Before ordering, also confirm the 2/3 GN format, 610 x 610 x 685mm dimensions and 230V 13A electrical provision.
