Frequently Asked Questions
CED Designline Drop In Ambient Cutlery/Condiment Unit CCU2 FAQs
Which self-service operations is the CED Designline ambient cutlery unit intended for?
It is designed for countertop self-service presentation of cutlery, condiments and other ambient service items. Its inclined storage levels, lighting and merchandising shelf suit dining areas where guests need organised access to accompaniments while staff maintain a clear, attractive display.
What is the gastronorm capacity of the CED Designline cutlery display?
The display has 3 inclined levels with 6x 1/9 GN containers on the top shelf, 4x 1/6 GN containers on the middle shelf and 4x 1/4 GN containers on the bottom shelf. This graduated arrangement separates smaller service items across easily viewed tiers.
What can be presented in the CED Designline condiment unit's GN containers?
The GN containers can organise cutlery, milk, cream, creamers, sugars, sweeteners, butter, spreads, jams, marmalades and condiment sachets such as salt, vinegar, pepper and sauces. The divided layout helps customers find small dining accessories and portions without searching through one large compartment.
What can be displayed on the CED Designline unit's glass impulse shelf?
The toughened-glass top impulse shelf provides extra merchandising space above the GN levels. Suitable presentation examples include basketed fruit, flowers, napkins, menus, wine lists, table condiment sets and corporate branding, allowing the upper area to support both service and visual merchandising.
How is the CED Designline cutlery display illuminated and controlled?
Diffused lighting beneath the top and middle shelves brightens the displayed products without exposing a prominent light fitting. A push-button switch positioned on the bottom shelf end plate provides convenient, discreet control of the illumination.
What materials and styling does the CED Designline ambient display use?
The unit has a bright polished steel and aluminium profile with a silver-toned appearance. Its elliptical form and curved glass profile are designed to coordinate with other Designline units, helping operators create a consistent countertop service presentation.
What is supplied for fitting the CED Designline CCU2 cutlery display?
The pack contains 1 Designline CCU2 unit with countertop post-fixing plates, bolts, a 2 m lead and plug top. The gantry mounts to the countertop, so its position should be planned around the available counter space and a suitable nearby electrical supply.
What are the dimensions of the CED Designline CCU2 ambient display?
The unit measures 708 mm high, 800 mm wide and 421 mm deep. Its 800 mm gantry width should be considered alongside the mounting points, customer reach and surrounding countertop space when planning the self-service layout.
What electrical supply does the CED Designline CCU2 display require?
The illuminated display is rated at 100 W and requires a 230V, 13A plug supply. It comes with a 2 m lead and plug top, allowing the diffused shelf lighting to be powered from an appropriately positioned socket.
How heavy is the CED Designline CCU2 display and what warranty does it include?
The unit weighs 22 kg and includes a 1-year warranty. Its weight and 800 mm countertop footprint should be considered when selecting the mounting position and supporting counter.
