




Induction pans are built with a magnetically responsive base that allows them to work directly with an induction hob’s electromagnetic field. When the pan sits on the hob, the coil beneath the glass triggers a magnetic flow through the metal. This reaction produces heat within the pan itself, removing the need to warm the hob first and ensuring rapid, efficient, and even heating across the surface.
For a pan to function on an induction hob, its base must contain ferrous metal. Most manufacturers achieve this by using magnetic-grade stainless steel or by adding a specialised induction-ready layer. If the base cannot attract a magnet, the hob will not activate.
