Frequently Asked Questions
Lincat Silverlink 600 Fan Assisted Electric Oven V6/FD FAQs
Which commercial kitchens benefit from the Lincat Silverlink 600 fan-assisted oven?
The Lincat Silverlink 600 fan-assisted electric oven suits commercial kitchens needing a heavy-duty, high-capacity convection oven within a Silverlink 600 cooking line. Its fan-assisted design distributes heat effectively, supports shorter cooking times and can operate beneath a suitably sized Silverlink countertop appliance.
What is the cooking capacity of the Lincat Silverlink 600 oven?
The oven accommodates 4 x 2/3 GN loads and provides 4 shelf positions for flexible tray placement. It comes with 2 shelves, allowing operators to adjust the internal arrangement to suit different products while working within the 2/3 GN format.
What are the external and cooking-area dimensions of the Lincat Silverlink 600 oven?
The external dimensions are 674 mm high x 600 mm wide x 623 mm deep. Its cooking area measures 430 mm high x 465 mm wide x 390 mm deep, giving buyers both the installation footprint and the usable internal space needed for kitchen planning.
What electrical connection does the Lincat Silverlink 600 oven use?
The oven is rated at 3kW on a 230V supply and operates from a plug connection. Its 3kW load allows it to use a fused 13A plug and an earthed socket, avoiding the higher-load connection arrangement required by appliances rated above 3kW.
What temperature range does the Lincat Silverlink 600 oven provide?
The thermostatically controlled oven operates from 50°C to 250°C. An amber indicator remains illuminated while the oven is heating and goes out when the selected temperature has been reached, giving the operator a clear indication before loading or checking food.
How does the Lincat Silverlink 600 oven door improve access and visibility?
Its double-glazed glass door provides a clear view into the cooking chamber. The side-opening design uses robust hinges and a ball catch to provide secure closure and straightforward access, which is useful when loading or removing 2/3 GN trays in a busy kitchen.
What benefits does the fan provide in the Lincat Silverlink 600 oven?
Fan assistance distributes heat more evenly through the oven and can reduce cooking times while improving operating efficiency. For quicker cooling after use, the thermostat can be switched off while the fan is left running, before the fan is finally turned off at the green switch.
How easy is the Lincat Silverlink 600 oven to clean?
The vitreous-enamelled interior has radiused corners and removable side shelf supports to reduce dirt traps and improve access. Isolate the oven and let it cool before cleaning with hot water and detergent; avoid abrasive or chlorine-based products on stainless steel, protect electrical parts from water and do not use a water jet.
Can the Lincat Silverlink 600 oven support countertop cooking equipment?
Yes. It can support a suitably sized Silverlink 600 countertop unit, including compatible boiling tops, bain maries, griddles or worktops. When fitting a countertop unit to this oven or another closed base, its feet may be removed if required. Fitting a fryer above the oven is not recommended.
What construction and base arrangement does the Lincat Silverlink 600 oven have?
The oven has a silver stainless steel exterior and stands on feet. It does not have an undershelf, making it a self-contained oven base intended to support a suitably sized Silverlink 600 countertop appliance rather than provide open storage below.
What warranty comes with the Lincat Silverlink 600 fan-assisted oven?
The oven includes a 2-year parts and labour warranty. Accidental damage, misuse, normal wear, incorrect adjustment, neglect, incorrect installation, maintenance, modification and unauthorised service work fall outside the guarantee conditions.
How can I identify the Lincat Silverlink 600 fan-assisted oven?
The product is the Lincat Silverlink 600 fan-assisted electric oven, model V6/FD, with supplier reference V6F/D. These model references help distinguish the fan-assisted, side-door version when ordering, checking delivery paperwork or arranging service.
Is there a return charge for the Lincat Silverlink 600 oven?
A restocking fee of up to 25% may apply if this oven is returned because of its high carriage and handling costs. Buyers should therefore check the dimensions, 3kW electrical requirement, 2/3 GN capacity and intended countertop-unit arrangement carefully before ordering.
What siting conditions does the Lincat Silverlink 600 oven need?
Install the oven level with free airflow around it and keep the rear vents unobstructed. Materials within 100 mm should be non-combustible, and the 3kW appliance should connect to an earthed socket. The oven and surrounding parts can become hot during normal operation.
